Prayer for healing

Bring what you carry.

Come to me, all you that labour, and are burdened, and I will refresh you.

Matthew 11:28

I'm Tony Tiedemann, a Catholic layman. I pray with you for healing, in the name of Jesus Christ.

By phone or video, anywhere. In person in the Phoenix area, when we can arrange it. Prayer requests are always free.

Prayer, not medical care. In crisis? Call or text 988.

Whatever it is, bring it.

  • Sickness in the body.
  • Grief that will not lift.
  • Fear that wakes you at night.
  • A family pulling apart.
  • A weight no one else can see.

At the pool of Bethesda, a man had been lying there a long time. Jesus saw the man and asked one question.

Wilt thou be made whole?

John 5:6

Bring it to Him. I will pray with you.

Christ heals

One Physician

Jesus heals. I pray. I have no power of my own to heal anyone. Healing is God's gift, given as He wills.

My part is to pray. I bring your need to Jesus. I ask Our Lady, Health of the Sick, and the saints to pray with us. And I point you to the sacraments, where Christ meets us most surely.

Sometimes healing comes in the body. Sometimes it comes as peace, as strength, or as grace to carry what remains. We ask boldly and leave the answer to God.

There is one Physician who is possessed both of flesh and spirit ... even Jesus Christ our Lord.

St. Ignatius of Antioch, Letter to the Ephesians, 7

Who is praying

Faith. Listening. Training.

Catholic faith

I'm a Catholic layman. When we pray, we use Scripture and the Church's own prayers: the Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. We ask Our Lady and the saints to pray with us.

Listening prayer

A verse or a thought may come to mind as we pray. I test it against Scripture and the Church's teaching, then offer it humbly for you to weigh. Never as a prediction, a diagnosis or a message from heaven.

My training

I trained with Victor Barron (external site), a spiritual healer, teacher and author, in Basic Levels 1 through 5. What I offer you is prayer, and only prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ. I follow the teaching of the Catholic Church.

A healing prayer session

Ask. Pray. Go in peace.

Before

You ask.

Send a request and share only what you want to share. I read it and reply to you personally to set a time.

During

We pray.

We begin in God's presence. You bring your need in your own words. Then Scripture, the Church's prayers, quiet, and prayer for healing.

After

You go in peace.

Keep praying. Go to Mass, and to Confession if you're Catholic. Keep seeing your doctors.

What this is, and what it is not

What this is

  • Prayer for healing of the whole person, soul and body, in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • Scripture, the Church's own prayers, and quiet.
  • Listening prayer, offered humbly for your own discernment.
  • In person, a hand on your shoulder, only if you say yes.
  • Open to anyone who asks. Prayer requests are always free.

What this is not

  • Not medical or mental health care. Keep seeing your doctors.
  • Not a sacrament. Only a priest can hear your confession or give the Anointing of the Sick.
  • Not a Church service. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the Catholic Church or any diocese or parish.
  • Not a prediction or a diagnosis.
  • Not a promise. Healing is God's to give.
  • Nothing the Church warns against (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2115-2117).

Morning

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed: save me, and I shall be saved, for thou art my praise.

Jeremias 17:14

Ask for prayer.

Prayer requests are always free. For a healing prayer session, send a request and I will reply to you personally.

Prayer, not medical care.

Or pray now with the prayers for the sick.
