Privacy

What I collect

• Prayer request form: your prayer request. If you choose, your first name and email.
• Session request form: your first name and email. Your phone number, if you want to meet by phone or choose to give it. How you would like to meet, when you are usually free, and your time zone. If you choose, what you would like prayer for. You also confirm that you are 18 or older and that you understand what this prayer is.
• With either form: a scrambled code made from your internet address, used only to stop floods of spam. Also the time you send it, and which version of the form's agreement you checked.

Why

To pray for you, to reply to you, and to keep the forms free of spam. Nothing else.

Where it goes

What you send travels encrypted, through this website, to a private database on a server my office runs at DigitalOcean. It is kept there, not in email. I read your request there myself.

I get a short email that a request came in, without what you wrote.

My nightly database backups leave requests out. DigitalOcean also backs up the whole server each day. Those backups include requests and are kept for seven days.

I delete a request when you ask. Requests more than a year old are deleted as new ones arrive.

Emails we exchange live in my Google email, like any other mail.

My email is sorted with the help of automated tools, including AI services from other companies. Those tools can keep copies of what they read. Anything you would rather keep out of email, share with me by phone.

If we set a session, I keep the time on my Google calendar.

The site is hosted by DigitalOcean, which keeps server logs. Before a form is sent, a check on the server helps tell people from automated spam.

Who sees it

I read every request myself.

People and automated tools that keep my server and my email working can reach what is there.

What I never do

I don't sell or rent what you send. I don't use it for advertising, and I don't publish it. I share it with no one else, unless the law requires it or a life is in danger.

Only the service providers described above handle it, and only to do that work for me.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If you turn on Light mode or Pause motion, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. It is not used to track you.

Health information

Share only what you want to share. You never need to give medical details. The forms never ask for your date of birth, address, diagnosis, medications or insurance.

Sessions

I never record or transcribe a phone or video session.

Your choices

To see or delete what you sent, reply to any email from me. Or send a new request from the same email address with the words “Delete my information.”

To correct a request, send a new one. I delete the old one.

I delete your request, our emails and any calendar entry for your session. Then I confirm by email when it is done.

A deleted request is gone from my database at once, and from DigitalOcean's server backups within eight days.

Children

This site is not meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information. A parent or guardian sends any request for a child under 13, and any session request for someone under 18. If I learn that a child under 13 sent a request without a parent or guardian, I delete it.
